Accessibility at Russia Economy

Russia Economy aims to make its reporting and data tools usable by readers with different devices, abilities and access needs. Accessibility is part of the site's design and maintenance, not a claim that every possible combination of software and assistive technology has been tested.

Reading and navigation

Pages use semantic headings and a logical reading order. Navigation and interactive controls should be usable with a keyboard, with visible focus states. Text and controls are designed for clear contrast, and layouts should remain readable when text is enlarged or the screen is narrow.

Informative images have text alternatives. Decorative images should not create unnecessary announcements for screen readers. Reduced-motion preferences are respected so that movement is not required to understand or navigate a page.

Data tools and charts

Charts are accompanied by data tables so that color, shape or pointer interaction is not the only route to the information. Tool controls should have descriptive labels, and results should identify the value, unit and observation date in text.

Complex tables and external source documents can still present barriers. Third-party publications may not follow the same structure as this site. We do not claim formal accessibility certification or universal compatibility.
