Cookies and browser storage

Russia Economy sets no tracking cookies at launch. There are no analytics scripts or advertising scripts on the launch site. You do not need a user account, and the site does not provide comments, newsletter registration, payments or a contact form.

Local storage for display preferences

The site may save small display preferences in your browser's local storage. A preference can help the page remember a display choice when you return. These values stay in your browser and are never sent to the site.

Local storage is different from a cookie that a browser can attach to a request. You can remove stored preferences through your browser's site-data settings. Clearing them may reset the site's appearance, but it does not delete server access logs or email correspondence.

Calculators, search and data

Calculator entries are not stored or transmitted. Site search also runs in your browser. Official Bank of Russia data used by the converter and indicators are obtained by the site's server; the reader's browser does not contact the Bank of Russia.

Fonts and scripts come from the site itself. Normal requests for pages and files can still appear in the host's security and operational logs, as explained in our privacy information.

Changes to this configuration

If analytics or advertising scripts are introduced, the privacy and cookie pages will be updated first. Any new data use should be explained before that functionality is deployed, rather than described as though it existed at launch.
